So far we have discussed Basic and Switched PDUs. Today we are discussing Metered/Monitored PDUs….

METERED/MONITORED PDU

The NEXION Metered/Monitored PDU has all the features of the Basic PDU but also provides for real-time monitoring of the electrical characteristics (Voltage and Current) of the total load connected to the PDU. An LCD screen displays all the information in real-time.

Apart from Voltage and Current Meters, a Temperature meter/monitoring device is also available, allowing real-time monitoring of the ambient temperature. The temperature is displayed on an LCD screen. Temperature warning alarms can be set – Early Temperature warning, Late Temperature warning, and Alarm Temperature – all temperature values (in ᵒC or ᵒF) at the discretion of the Data/Server Room Manager.

All the metering/monitoring functions for Voltage, Current, and Temperature for all the load or for individual sockets can also be remotely controlled using the NEXION Intelligent PDU. (To be discussed later)
