SAFETY CHARTS

Safety charts are legal posters with a summary of various safety reminder tips to prevent accidents in the workplace. These wall safety charts inform students/employees about health and safety requirements in technical laboratories/workshops and workplaces and, remind them of their basic responsibilities to avoid accidents. This is a health and safety compliance condition that all technical laboratories/workshops and, workplaces must meet.

The sooner effective safety controls are implemented the less risk to operations.

Safety Charts are important because, without them, technical laboratory/workshop users may have no idea that they are: consistently behind on managing important safety tasks; and, allows mitigation against operational risks as quickly as possible.

To mitigate against operational risks, always:

• Report unsafe conditions
• Wear protective equipment
• Take breaks when recommended
• Avoid skipping operational steps
• Stay up to date with new procedures or protocols
• Maintain proper posture
